The Lindenhurst Revival

What a blessing it was to attend the Lutheran CORE hosted meeting of confessional Lutherans that was held today in Lindenhurst, Illinois. Around 250 pastors and laity from all the regions of the ELCA including numerous synods attended this inspiring and formulative event. Four members of Lutherans Reform were in attendance; John Douglas, Bob Kitchen, Paddy Rooney and myself-Paul Gausmann. Excellent presentations were made by Bishop Paull Spring, Dr. Jim Nestingen and Dr. Robert Benne, and much was done to network those in attendance and to promote and foster efforts that will enhance the confessional witness in the ELCA. One could not leave form the event without feeling uplifted and hopeful. Look for my new blog http://lindenhurstincubator.blogspot.com/ that will be entitled Lindenhust Incubator to share thoughts from the event that will promote greater effectiveness among the confessional folks.
